Umbrella FCST receives a high volume of applications. In order to be certain you are in the right place, applying for the job you want please read and agree to the following:

1) I have applied to this job because I wish to continue my career in Human Services. I understand that Umbrella FCST provides services to adults with disabilities. 

2) I understand that Umbrella FCST provides services to adults with disabilities in their homes and community. 

3) I understand that the meaning of "home and community" services means that I will drive to a participant's home, take them out into the community in my vehicle or public transportation as the individual requests. 

4) I understand that the people I will give services to in their homes and communities are not neighbors to one another. This means I will need to drive to their homes. Travel times are based on the location of the clients' homes. I also understand that this may mean anywhere from 10 minutes-30 minutes travel, and anything beyond 30 minutes travel time is paid by the company in my pay rate. 

4) I understand that if I have never worked with people with disabilities, I may not be afforded the same rate of pay as that of a person with a higher education degree, or years experience. I understand that I will not make that of a senior member of the team. 

5) I have read the job description on a job search engine or on the Umbrella FCST website and fully understand that I should be familiar or want to be familiar with the job I am applying to and will only schedule an interview after I have acknowledged this statement.  

6) I understand that the job description details the pay range for the position I am applying for. Pay rates are structured based on experience and education. I understand that if I have no experience or no prior education in this position, I will receive the entry rate of pay of 18 dollars for Direct Support Professionals, and 27 for Master-Level Behavior Specialists. 

7) Umbrella FCST provides Medicaid Waiver services. Umbrella FCST gets reimbursed minimum rates from the state for services provided. Direct Support Professionals are paid a range from 18-24 dollars per hour based on experience and education. Higher rates for Master-Level Clinicians based on credentials range from 27-50 per hour. 

8)  Your previous job's pay rate does not factor into this job unless your previous job was as a Certified Direct Support Professional and you have completed the Office of Developmental Programs Certification which is required for this job. 

9) I understand that if I have a Master's Degree in Human Services, Education, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, I am qualified to provide Behavior Specialist Services. I also understand that Behavior Specialists who are Licensed or have a BCBA are the most qualified for a Master-Level Behavior Specialist position. I also understand that pursuing a Master-Level Behavior Specialist position with no experience as a Behavior Specialist, could mean that I am required to work alongside another qualified licensed specialist to get supervision hours and training, as my inexperience could be detrimental to health and safety of others. 

10) I understand that Licensed/Unlicensed Master-Level Behavior Specialists are not paid the same rate as those who are not and have never been in this position previously, or who have little to no experience. I understand that the cost of giving experience to Umbrella FCST applicants is a risk if I am not serious about taking or maintaining the position. 

11) I will not schedule an interview with the company before I have read and understand fully the position I am applying for, the use of my personal vehicle for work, and the pay structure.
